I write about software architecture when there is something concrete to measure, reproduce, or draw.

I'm Maxat Kurmanbekov, a software engineer in NL working on backend systems and applied AI. I built SaleSpotter to collect and normalize promotion data from Dutch retailers, using Go, TypeScript, Playwright, and a small Hetzner deployment.

Lately I have been testing architecture research against real repositories. That has led me from fitness functions and propagation cost to a home-built approximation of Decoupling Level across eleven JavaScript codebases, and most recently to mining git history for architecture debts with a measurable interest rate. I publish the method, the diagrams, and the caveats, because the caveats are usually the useful part.
